On April 14, a ceremonial event was held in Kuala Lumpur, organized by the Embassy of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Malaysia and the Malaysian-Bosnia and Herzegovina Business Council, at which the second business forum between Malaysia and Bosnia and Herzegovina was officially announced.

On that occasion, the business forum was officially launched by the Governor of the State of Melaka Tun Ali Rustam and the Ambassador of BiH to Malaysia, Edin Jahić.

This is a significant initiative aimed at improving economic cooperation, with a special focus on investments, tourism and the development of long-term business partnerships.

The second business forum will be held in September 2026 in Sarajevo, and around 30 companies from Malaysia are expected to arrive to explore investment opportunities and establish new business ties with partners in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The positive effects of the previous forum, held in October 2024, are already visible. Following this event, Malaysian investors implemented projects to open two hotels in Sarajevo, further strengthening the tourism sector and increasing the number of tourist arrivals from Malaysia.

As part of these investments, the opening of two Malaysian restaurants is also planned, which will offer authentic Malaysian and Asian cuisine, enriching the gastronomic offer of Sarajevo and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

It is expected that the upcoming forum will further intensify economic cooperation, encourage new investments and open up space for stronger connections between the business communities of the two countries.
