Second Regional Fair of Business Ideas Successfully Organized

poslovni_ljudiUnder the organization of the Association “Friends of Srebrenica”, the second regional fair of business ideas was organized in Bratunac, where 20 young entrepreneurs from the municipalities of Srebrenica, Bratunac and Milići presented their business ideas.

Business ideas that the young entrepreneurs presented at the fair were mostly based on the primary agricultural production in sub-sectors in dairy, sheep, goat and fruit, as well as shops serving automobiles, bookkeeping services and the like.

Members of the Business Counseling Association “Friends of Srebrenica” worked during the year on designing, writing and educating in the area of writing business plans, and presented their final business ideas at the fair. The organizer of the fair of business ideas established a prize fund for the best business ideas.

The Commission selected the most promising business ideas, best business plan the most innovative business ideas from the region.

“Our business plan is a café „Cvijetić“ that would be found in the center of Milići, because our small town does not have such a place where people could sit and relax. As part of the café, there would be a play center for children, where young mothers could bring their children to play’’, said Tijana Sušić, one of the winners of the award for a business idea.

“I have chosen a business plan for sheep farming. Since I live in a village, this idea and business plan suits me. I realized this idea and I came here at the fair to present it. I thank the Association “Friends of Srebrenica” because they helped me a lot, to make my business plan and to realize it, and they gave me a lot of good advice’’, said Sevdalija Husić, participant of the Second Regional Fair of Business Ideas.

In the municipalities of Srebrenica, Bratunac and Milići unemployment is at around 8.000 young people, and the goal of the fair and the entire project is to identify and support good business ideas and provide the conditions for self-employment of young people, mostly in agriculture, crafts and other services.

“Thanks to the project ‘Youth Information Center 2011-2014” that is supported by the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in BiH, they provided assistance in writing business plans to all interested youth. Our mission is definitely to work on creating the conditions for easier employment of youth’’, said the President of the Association “Friends of Srebrenica” Dragana Jovanović.

“We think that this is a very important event. It is good to see people working and presenting useful things and we hope that our projects would help this region. We are very happy that this is a viable event’’, said Ellen van Reesch, Deputy Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to BiH.

Business ideas for unemployed in the region will be presented to potential lenders, investors and donors, who could be interested to lend support to new businesses. The fair for business ideas, whose organizer is the Association “Friends of Srebrenica” is a yearly activity of the project “Youth Information Center 2011-2014” that is supported by the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
