Security Measures in BiH enhanced during the Upcoming Holidays

Dragan Mektić vijesti.baIn the Ministry of Security of BiH was held a meeting of the Minister of Security Dragan Mektic with the directors of BH security agencies – the Intelligence and Security Agency, the Directorate for Coordination of Police Bodies of BiH, the State Investigation and Protection Agency, Border Police and the Service for Foreigners’ Affairs.

During the meeting was analyzed the current security situation in BiH in the light of recent terrorist attacks in Europe and new ways of conducting terrorist acts, and they agreed on intensifying measures and actions in order to prevent and avoid any form of possible terrorist threats.

They identified the places and objects that could be endangered, and first of all places of mass gathering of citizens, and agreed to undertake enhanced intelligence and operational measures across the country and the rapid exchange of information and data security services.

The elevated level of intelligence and security operations will remain in force until the end of the upcoming New Year and religious holidays, and if necessary they will be prolonged after January.

Ministry of Security of BiH called on all citizens to cooperate, and if they have information and knowledge about any security threats, to immediately notify the security agencies in BiH, as concluded at the meeting.
