fondacija bosanaBosnian-bon Šehida Begović with her classmates and teachers from the high school Apeldoorn in Netherlands during a humanitarian action last Thursday raised 6.628 Euros for scholarships to help talented students in B&H.

Although, she was only four years old when she left B&H, she is still very connected to her home country and she comes as often as she can to B&H and she tries to be in contact with young people here. She got the idea for the humanitarian action precisely through these contacts on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the high school where she studies and from where she will graduate this year.

“I realized that young people in B&H do not have many possibilities in comparison to children in the Netherlands, although they give their best in school and beyond their opportunities. I returned from a holiday in B&H a year ago and I decided to start helping the youth in B&H because they are the future of our state”, said Šehida who offered her help at the Bosana Foundation.

The Bazaar organized by her proposal brought together more than 600 students of the school, who were divided into groups. Teachers and parents joined the action.
