Serbian President comments on Dodik’s Ideas for Kosovo and Republika Srpska

The first part of Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic’s visit to Banja Luka was dedicated to the handover ceremony of 15 ambulances, at which speeches were given by member of Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Milorad Dodik and RS President Zeljka Cvijanovic.

After thanking Serbia and Vucic for the great help that this neighboring country provided to RS during the coronavirus pandemic, Dodik decided to do what he is best at – drawing attention to political fantasies, Klix.ba news portal reports.

“Serbia and Republika Srpska are two Serbian states in this area, no matter what others think about it, that’s right,” said Dodik.

He said that he would discuss business, infrastructure issues, but also political issues such as “Kosovo and the status of RS” with Vucic, alluding to the fact that the two topics are in some way connected. Let us remind you, 1.4 million BAM was spent for the purchase of 15 ambulances for 15 communities in the Republic of Srpska.

“I guess the most important thing for Dodik, Cvijanovic and Vidovic is that Serbia will, if necessary, and I hope not, provide an additional financial injection to RS before the end of the year. Times are hard, as much as we can, our obligation is to help the people of RS,” he said.

He pointed out that this would happen “always preserving the best relations with BiH as a whole and respecting Dayton, which is sacred scripture for Serbia.”

He added that the issues raised by BiH Presidency member Milorad Dodik are not easy and simple for Serbia.

“We would like things to remain within the framework of the Dayton Accords, as I understood President Dodik. For all other Dodik’s ideas, it is our obligation to listen and see something in writing. We will have more meetings, it is my obligation to listen to their ideas, and then we will be able to provide certain answers, “he said.
