On the afternoon of June 20, the Service for Foreigners Affairs forcibly removed two foreign citizens to their country of origin. These are persons who illegally resided in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and before removal they were placed under supervision in the Immigration Center of the Service.

The Service for Affairs with Foreigners announced that a forced removal was carried out from Sarajevo International Airport, which was carried out in accordance with EU standards and procedures.

Security and escort officers of the Service for Affairs with Foreigners escorted the disputed person to the country of origin.

The process of returning migrants to their home countries has been intensified, including forced removals, which is recognized as one of the priorities in the EU action plan for the Western Balkans. Since the beginning of the year, the Service has implemented 258 voluntary returns and 25 forced removals of migrants to their countries of origin, and in this regard, the Service for Affairs with Foreigners is the leader in the region.

By carrying out the forced removal procedure, a significant step forward was made in combating irregular migration and once again confirmed the readiness and commitment of the Service for Foreigners to manage migration processes in BiH as efficiently as possible, according to the statement.
