Students of the Second Gymnasium in Mostar will represent BiH with a robot that still has no name at the world competition in robotics that will take place in Mexico City.

Professor and the students were preparing for this great competition during the holidays, and a team of seven will go to Mexico, although more of them took part in the process of preparation and work on the robot.

“We are still practicing, but we did not finalize the financial structure. We received some promises and we are hoping that this will be completed soon,” said the professor and mentor of the CERIT team, Anes Hadziomerovic, and thanked numerous sponsors.

He explained that all the robots are constructed with the idea of energy efficiency, they need to manipulate packages and start the windmill. The competition is intended for teams, and representatives of three countries are always together.

Lejla Maric, a member of the team, said that they invested a lot of effort and that they are still practicing.

“We expect the best placement possible, to use all of this effort and hard work, and to present our country in the best way possible,” said Lejla.

Cantonal Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports, Rasid Hadzovic, greeted the students and stated that it is a special honour and pleasure to help a team like this.

“We are happy to have such a high-quality teachers and students in our schools, and since we got familiar with their success, we allocated a budget to help these teams for the first time this year,” said the minister.
