Several hundred motorcyclists left Sarajevo today for Potočari, where on July 11 they will attend the commemoration and funeral of the victims of the genocide in Srebrenica.

Among the participants of the 13th Srebrenica Moto Marathon, which is being held again this year under the slogan “Don’t forget and don’t repeat”, are motorcyclists from Bosnia and Herzegovina, the countries of the region and beyond.

The motorcyclists started from Ilidža, and then they formed a column and, accompanied by the police, paraded through Sarajevo.

The participants of the motorcycle marathon stopped in front of the Memorial to the murdered children of besieged Sarajevo, where they laid candles. The “Flower of Srebrenica” was symbolically placed in front of the ARIA Center. After that, they continued their journey towards the Potočari Memorial Center.

On July 11 this year, the remains of 14 more victims of the genocide committed in Srebrenica in 1995 will be buried in the cemetery of the Srebrenica Memorial Center – Potočari, Anadolu Agency writes.
