FILMOn Sunday, the fourth day of the Sarajevo Film Festival, in summer cinema !Hej the film Prince Avalanche was shown by US Director David Gordon Green, who won a silver bear for best director at this year’s Berlin Film Festival, with Emile Hirsch and Paul Rudd playing the main roles.

Rudd and Hirsch portray the characters of two workers, Alvin and Lance, who travel the desolate roads of central Texas, where a year earlier fires destroyed large areas of land and damaged roads are being repaired.

Forced to camp along the road and far from their families, Alvin and lance start to get to know one another and develop a strange friendship through unusual and conflicting situations.

With outstanding roles played by Rudd and Hirsch, Green creates an unusual story about a strange friendship through a number of open conflicts, and occasionally dark humor dialogues.

After the screening of the movie the Director and Emile Hirsch addressed the audience, and they expressed great satisfaction for having the chance to present their movie at the SFF. Hirsch said that he was in Sarajevo two years ago to work on a film project with Penelope Cruz, and said he was fascinated by the hospitality of the people in Sarajevo.
