Director of the Roads of FBiH, Ljubo Pravdic, said that the deadline for completion of works is 7 months and that the contractors are Euroasfalt and ZGP Sarajevo.

LOT-2C is the last section that belongs to the project of Sarajevo bypass. This project should join the end point of the viaduct Brijesce, which belongs to LOT-2A, which is completed, with a city highway, which is not built yet.

For the purpose of the functional connection of the city through the constructed part of Sarajevo bypass with the highway A1 or Corridor 5C, this project represents an alternative solution. Length of complete section of LOT-2C is about 1.2 kilometers and it is divided into 2 phases.

“The first stage is the section from the end point of the viaduct Brijesce in the length of 600 meters (opened part of the route of the embankment) and object Pergola, which crosses the railway track in the length of about 130 meters. The total length of this section is around 730 meters,” said Pravdic.

For this phase was procured the building permit and the section will be built in the full profile of Express Road.

“The second phase represents the section between the end point of the object ‘Pergola’ to the junction with the Safeta Zajke Street, where is planned roundabout. The length of this section with a roundabout is about 450 meters. The process of expropriation is taking place in the second stage and upon its completion will be issued building permit for that section,” he said.

The value of all works for both phases in accordance with accepted best offer is 9,574,554.09 BAM with VAT.

The deadline for the works of the first phase is 5 months, and the total deadline for the first and second phase is 7 months, starting from May until the end of November 2016.

Minister of Transport of CS, Mujo Fiso, thanked the Government of the FBiH which has enabled faster exit from Sarajevo. Mayor of Novi Grad Semir Efendic addressed the media at the conference, and said that LOT-2C represents the beginning of the Sarajevo highway.
