Significant Increase in Number of Coronavirus Cases and Deaths in BiH

In Bosnia and Herzegovina, in the past 24 hours, 568 people tested positive for the coronavirus, out of 1,376 tests processed. Seven deaths were reported, four in the Federation of BiH, three in the Republika Srpska, it was reported from the entity institutions for public health and the Government of Brcko District of BiH. So far, a total of 15,851 people have died in Bosnia and Herzegovina as a result of the Covid-19 infection.

In the past 24 hours, a total of 884 samples were reported to the Institute of Public Health of the Federation of BiH, of which 275 were positive for SARS-CoV-2. New cases were registered in all cantons in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, except in Canton 10.

So far, a total of 1,296,585 samples have been tested in FBiH, and SARS-CoV-2 has been confirmed in 254,912 people.

In the past 24 hours, four deaths were reported in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, two in Central Bosnia and one each in Herzegovina-Neretva and Zenica-Doboj cantons, while three deaths were reported retroactively. The total number of deaths in the territory of the Federation of BiH so far is 8,910.

Since the last report on the epidemiological situation, in the Institute for Public Health of the RS, the University Clinical Center of the RS, the University Hospital in Foca and in the hospitals of St. Vracevi in Bijeljina and Sv. In the port of Doboj, 423 laboratory samples were tested, and the new corona virus (SARS-CoV-2) was confirmed in 247 people. Three deaths were reported.

So far, 114,487 cases of the corona virus have been confirmed in the RS, and a total of 6,405 people who tested positive for the corona virus have died. A total of 431,146 people were tested. The total number of hospitalized is 103, and five people are on ventilators.

In the Brcko District of BiH, 46 new cases of infection with the corona virus were registered, 69 tests were performed, and currently 264 cases are active. So far, a total of 536 people have died as a result of the coronavirus in the Brcko District of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
