cengicAll legal obstacles and doubts regarding signing of general collective agreement on the 10th of February have been resolved at yesterday’s extraordinary session of the Economic and Social Council (ESV) for the territory of the FB&H, and it was agreed between the social partners, the Alliance of Independent Trade Unions of B&H and the Employer’s Association of FB&H.

“There is a high level of compromise and agreement on the text of the contract and we will sign it next week at the next session of ESV FB&H,” according to the President of the Employer’s Association of FB&H Safudin Cengic.

The Alliance of Independent Trade Unions of B&H demanded an extraordinary session in order to eliminate all obstacles for signing of the contract. President of the Alliance Ismet Bajramovic said that the Government of FB&H is asking for signing of the general collective agreement first and then branch collective agreements by cantons.

Duration of the collective agreement was negotiated on the session as well, with the request of the Government of FB&H to be shortened to the period of 12 months instead of 18 months.

Employers and trade unions emphasized that the amount of the minimum salary in the FB&H is unquestionable, and it amounts to 406 BAM.

“The price of labor remains 406 BAM and contributions are paid on it, so the funds are not in question,” said the President of the Alliance of Independent Trade Unions of B&H Ismet Bajramovic.
