SIPA arrested high-ranking officials of Police Agencies

Officials of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) and the Ministry of Interior of the Sarajevo Canton, OSA BiH, as part of the action called “Black tie 2”, carry out activities of deprivation of liberty and searches in dozens of locations in the area of Sarajevo, Zenica and Mostar.

“The target of the operation is a number of suspected physical and legal persons, and among those arrested are high-ranking officials of police agencies and law enforcement institutions,” announced the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH.

The Prosecutor’s Office adds that within the scope of the case, evidence was collected from encrypted applications, and the activities are aimed at prosecuting persons suspected of organized crime, unauthorized trafficking of large quantities of narcotic drugs, money laundering and other related crimes.

Support on the ground is provided by the police of the ZDK MUP and the HNK MUP, and international support was provided by the FBI, DEA and Europol.
