SIPA Deputy Director Zoran Galic receives Salary even he is on the Run

The deputy director of SIPA, Zoran Galić, has been on the run since July 9, and at his workplace it is being treated as if he is on sick leave and has not been suspended. The Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina has still not submitted a request to issue an international warrant.

All this information has been confirmed by state institutions. Although the so-called operational search (on the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina), it is known that he is in neighboring Croatia and no one is looking for him there because the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina did not submit a request to the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina to issue a warrant abroad, Klix.ba writes.

At the same time, Galić opened a sick leave in SIPA before the escape because he had information about the operation.

This means that Galić, even though he is on the run, will receive a monthly salary of several thousand marks for the month of July as well, and as things currently stand, this practice will continue until the election of a new director and deputy of SIPA, which could only happen in the fall.

He is in Croatia, and soon his legal team should send medical documentation to the BiH Prosecutor’s Office, which will state that due to his health, Galić must remain in Zagreb for treatment.

Given the citizenship of the Republic of Croatia, a member of the European Union, Galić expects that he will not be extradited to Bosnia and Herzegovina, where he is charged with several crimes related to organized crime. He is accused of collaborating with tobacco smugglers and of receiving a car as a gift.

Zoran Galić received “confidential information” from SIPA management that he would be arrested, and he took advantage of the moment and crossed the border of Bosnia and Herzegovina into Croatia, which was also confirmed by the state prosecutor’s office.

This case, unfortunately, did not disturb the ruling structures much, although another man from the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) who escaped from the laws of our country is suspected of organized crime, so we could not see the usual comments and reactions of political leaders as usual. it happens when some other persons from the world of politics, justice or police-security ranks are at the center of police actions.

The reason for such a thing could be found in the fact that Galić is a functionary who has been appointed to leadership positions by the HDZ for years.

It should also be noted that on July 22, i.e. six days ago, a joint session of the Presidency of HDZ and HDZ BiH was held in Split, which was attended by leaders Andrej Plenković and Dragan Čović, but we did not see in the announcement that, for example, the escape of another man from SIPA from Bosnia and Herzegovina to Croatia was not even a topic at all.
