Police officers of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) today, as part of the “Click” operation, detained two police officers of the Directorate for the Coordination of Police Bodies of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Premises searches and temporary confiscation of items are underway at five locations in the area of Sarajevo, East Sarajevo, Šipovo and Sanski Most.

The aforementioned activities are carried out due to the existence of grounds for suspicion that the criminal offense of “receiving a reward or other form of benefit for trade in influence” has been committed, in connection with the criminal offense of “money laundering” prescribed by the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The activity is carried out by order of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina and under the supervision of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina in cooperation with the police officers of the Directorate for the Coordination of Police Bodies of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Ministries of Internal Affairs of Sarajevo Canton and the Ministries of Internal Affairs of Republika Srpska.

Persons deprived of liberty will be taken to SIPA premises for criminal processing and questioning as suspects.
