Photos from the past are memories, so this one will surely visit someone for some long ago happier times.

You can often see old photos of Sarajevo on the Internet, and this one was taken in 1954. Part of Marijin Dvor, i.e. Hotel Zagreb, was captured with the lens.

In the photo, there is also an old double-decker bus that visits popular London buses, and some must have thought at first that it was a British city.

Namely, with the development of public city bus traffic in Sarajevo in the period from 1945 to 1960, the so-called “Londoners”.

The first British bus that arrived from London to Sarajevo and Yugoslavia in general in 1951, with the purpose of presenting the driving and transport characteristics of London buses, was a Guy Arab G36 with a Weymann body produced in 1943. It was sold to Autoprevoz Sarajevo in January 1952, Klix.ba reports.
