Situation in Sarajevo is Calmer But Cantonal Government Building is Still Burning

vlada (1)At around 19:30, the situation in areas in Sarajevo where the protests took place were reported to be almost completely calm.

On the streets are a large number of special police. The fire in the building of the B&H Presidency has been put out, but the building is still surrounded by smoke. The roof of the Sarajevo Canton building is still burning, even though there are many firefighters working to put out the fire. Several automobiles in the area around the building have been completely burned. The telephone booths in front of the Presidency are down, and the windows in a nearby bank were smashed.

Medical centers have confirmed that 63 people sought help at the Clinical Center of the University of Sarajevo, while 48 people were taken to the General Hospital “Abdulah Nakaš”.

In addition, medical centers in Tuzla said that 23 injured people arrived-12 police officers and 11 citizens.

Members of KJKP ‘Rad’ are cleaning the streets.
