Sixteen New Cases of Coronavirus recorded in Sarajevo

In the past 24 hours, 16 new cases of coronavirus infection were confirmed in Sarajevo Canton, after testing 541 samples. 14 patients recovered from Covid-19 infection and there were no deaths.

There are currently 34 patients in hospital, 13 of whom have an acute infection, while the rest have post covid complications or are under observation.

22 patients are treated at the Clinical Center of the University of Sarajevo, and 12 at the General Hospital “Prim.dr. Abdulah Nakas”.

One patient is on a respirator and one uses oxygen support to breathe above 15 liters per minute.

Today, Sarajevo Canton records 117 active cases of Covid-19 infection. There are currently 815 people in self-isolation.

Since the beginning of the pandemic in the Sarajevo Canton, a total of 53,067 people have been infected with the coronavirus and 51,659 have been cured.

According to the data of the Public Health Institute of CS, in the past seven days the average number of infected is 17, while the weekly incidence, ie the number of patients per 100,000 inhabitants, is 29.
