The study by which the ski center “Ravna planina” was declared the third best ski resort in Europe is proof that it is on the right track to contribute to the development of tourism in the Republika Srpska, but also that it has become recognizable in Europe, Srna news agency was told in this ski center.

The owner of the ski center “Ravna planina” Veljko Golijanin pointed out that this is a good advertisement for Ravna planina, but also a suggestion to all guests that they have more reason to come to this mountain, both in summer and in winter.

According to him, although the ski center took third place in the ski resort competition in Europe with this study, he focused on the summer tourist season with activities such as cycling and adrenaline tourism.

“Summer is the main thing for us, we put the emphasis on the summer season. We have developed cycling, we have a cycling station with 100 mountain bikes and more than 25 kilometers of cycling paths connected with Jahorina, and we also have adrenaline facilities, adrenaline park, via ferrata and zip line,” Golijanin pointed out.

He added that the ski center “Ravna planina” will offer tourists a dino park this year, which will be interesting not only for children, but also for adults.

Golijanin emphasized that the ski track on Ravna planina is highly ranked in the FIS calendar, stating that this year an FIS race was held that gathered around 100 participants from almost 20 countries.

“We showed that we can, although it was difficult this year without snow, but we got high marks,” Golijanin said.

Speaking about the winter season, he pointed out that Ravna Planina was visited by a large number of skiers this year, although the conditions for skiing were not favorable due to the lack of natural snow.

“It was only thanks to the artificial snow that we achieved that result and we were one of the most visited ski resorts in the area at peak times,” said Golijanin.

A study conducted by the insurance company for winter sports “Sports cover direct” included the ski resort Ravna planina near Pale in the third place of the best ski resorts in Europe, and analyzed various factors such as the price of a daily ski ticket, the average rating of visitors, the highest altitude, the length trails, average hotel prices and the number of hotels within a 10-kilometer radius.

Ravna planina took third place with a score of 71.8 out of 80.

Aleko resort in Bulgaria took first place, followed by Straja resort in Romania, and Ravna planina. In fourth place is Zlatibor in Serbia, followed by Kolašin in Montenegro.

The sixth best ski destination is Bansko in Bulgaria, and Igman is in seventh place. The resort of Suze in Gep in France took the eighth place, Mavrovo in North Macedonia is in the ninth place, and the 10th place went to the French resort of Alp du gran ser.
