OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAThe Mayor of Sarajevo Ivo Komšić received today the Ambassador of Slovenia to BiH Andrej Grasselli, with whom he spoke about the cooperation of Sarajevo and Slovenian cities, as well as plans for the future.

They indicated the most important areas for establishing joint activities as culture and sport, and the Mayor and Ambassador agreed that 2014 is the best period for establishing the realization of such projects.

“Next year in our city we are marking the 100 years from the beginning of the First World War and 30 years since the XIV Winter Olympics’’, said Komšić and expressed his wish for Ljubljana to be included in the project “Sarajevo 2014”.

“During that time, when the assassination in Sarajevo occurred, we were one country and from then our history became the same’’, said the Mayor.

During the reception, they particularly emphasized the cooperation of BiH and Slovenia, and thus the main cities that have the resources for the development of the economy and winter tourism.
