smart-benchIn the campus of the University of Mostar and the campus of the University “Dzemal Bijedic” were set up “smart benches’, and thus the city on the Neretva joined many cities in the region that already have this technological innovation.

Thanks to solar energy, the bench is energy independent, it provides users with wireless and USB charging for mobile phones, free use of mobile Internet and it also has its own lighting and cooling.

This is the gift of the City of Mostar to Mostar students for the start of the new academic year, as reported by the City Administration of Mostar.

Smart benches “Steora” are produced by company InClude from Solin. It is a new generation of smart benches and Mostar is the first city in BiH who got “Steora” smart benches.

Public companies Eronet and BH Telecom, which provided free mobile internet, also participated in the project for which the City of Mostar allocated 6,000 BAM, as well as construction companies HP Investing and Amitea, which regulated the parterre in front of the faculty in which the benches are set up within the framework of implementation of contracts at the reconstruction of the pavement.

Arrangement of greenery was done by PE Komos and PE Parkovi.
