Sofia Zoo will donate two lions to Sarajevo Zoo

Sofia Zoo is ready to donate two young lions to Sarajevo Zoo, reports FENA.

On that occasion Public Utility Company ‘Park’ is in Sofia in order to make the necessary deals on transport of lions from Bulgaria to Sarajevo zoo, and so the Zoo in ‘Pionirska Dolina’, will again after 20 years be the home to lions.

Manager of ‘Pionirska Dolina’ Esad Tajić and veterinarian Vedad Škapur went to Sofia, where they will get more information on this offer, where they’ll get the needed education concerning the care for lions, said to FENA expert information associate of ‘Park’ Aldijana Hamza.

Newly built object for accommodation of beast has the area of 1 200 square metres, with the outer are built from stone, with a pool of 1 000 square metres.

The object was built according to the most contemporary standards for animal accommodation, with mentor recommendation from Zoos from Zagreb and Hannover.
