“Somun” is the Export Hit of Klas Company

somunThe company Klas d.d. Sarajevo exported in the markets outside B&H almost 3.3 million pieces of somun.

Klas points out that in the local market the demand for somun increases during the Ramadan period and in the foreign markets the demand for somun is high during the entire year.

The Head of Export Department in the Company Klas Amer Vlahovljak announced that is continually growing the sale of frozen somun in markets of Denmark, Sweden, France, Netherlands, Croatia, Austria, Germany, Great Britain and USA.

“We receive every year at least one new buyers or distributors, and in 2013 that was Thiriet, the largest French company of frozen food. Thiriet found out about us thanks to the successful long term cooperation of Klas and the largest Danish bakery Easyfood, specialized for production of  exclusive types of breads”, said Vlahovljak and recalled that Klas through Easyfood for already 10 years exports somun and donuts in the Danish and French markets.

Klas confirms that they prepare somun according to the traditional recipe, under the brand name of customer of labeled as “Sarajevski”, one of the most attractive products for export.
