Sorensen and Representatives of 9 Municipalities to Sign a Memorandum of Cooperation

PETER-SORENSENThe ceremony of signing the Memorandum of cooperation in the framework  of the EU funded project “The EU support to establish and strengthen business infrastructure in order to improve the competitiveness of small and medium enterprises (EUSESBI)” is scheduled for today at the premises of EU delegation in B&H, Sarajevo.

Head of EU Delegation in B&H and EU Special Representative Peter Sorensen and the Mayors of municipalities Bihać, Brčko, East Novo Sarajevo, Laktaši, Ljubuški, Novi Travnik, Mostar, Orašje and Teslić will sign the memorandum.

The purpose of the memorandum is to establish an official partnership/ cooperation mechanisms between EUSESBI project and municipalities in B&H, which have been selected as part of a comprehensive, fair and transparent process for the preparation of feasibility studies and solutions for projects of development of business infrastructure, with the common potential to create approximately 11.000 new job positions throughout the country.

EUSESBI is a 24 months project funded by EU from the IPA 2009 funds in the amount of 1.3 million euro and is implemented by WYG International Ltd.

The goal of this project is to contribute to the strengthening of competitiveness of businesses in B&H by improving the offers and availability of quality infrastructure to support the businesses, that among other things, include business parks, innovations centers and business incubators and to provide business support services.
