The Embassy of Japan in Bosnia and Herzegovina, in cooperation with the Sarajevo Philharmonic Orchestra, is pleased to announce a commemorative concert entitled “Sounds Bridging Japan and Bosnia and Herzegovina”, celebrating 30 years of diplomatic relations between Japan and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The concert will take place on 27 March at 20:00 at the National Theatre Sarajevo, featuring the Sarajevo Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of Japanese conductor Yusuke Kimoto, presenting a program of musical works that express the friendship and cultural ties between the two countries.
Over the past three decades, Japan and Bosnia and Herzegovina have steadily developed a warm and cooperative relationship. As part of this enduring partnership, the Government of Japan has provided the Sarajevo Philharmonic Orchestra with musical instruments such as clarinets, violins, and trumpets in 2010, as well as lighting equipment for the National Theatre Sarajevo in 2003.
This concert provides a special opportunity to celebrate the longstanding friendship between Japan and Bosnia and Herzegovina and to further promote cultural exchange between the two countries.
