The Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Milorad Dodik, received a letter of credence from the newly appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Slovenia to BiH, Damijan Sedar, emphasizing that Slovenia is a strong advocate of Bosnia and Herzegovina’s progress on its path to the European Union.

In that context, the current Slovenian presidency of the Council of the European Union was discussed.

Ambassador Sedar said that Slovenia would continue to strive to accelerate the process of EU enlargement in our region, and that the presidency would pay special attention to Bosnia and Herzegovina.

“Slovenia, as chair, will strive to work on the socio-economic strengthening of the region and to promote the sectoral integration of the region’s countries into the EU, such as infrastructure, transport, energy connections, research, decarbonisation, digitalisation, cyber security and a positive perspective for young people.” Serdar pointed out.

The interlocutors agree that the relations between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Slovenia are traditionally friendly and without open issues that would hinder cooperation
