sunnylandExactly a year ago, Sheikh Mohammed bin Saqr al-Qasimi from Emirates announced the construction and opening of the amusement park “Sunny Land” on Zlatiste. Back then there was a project, conceptual design and good will, and one year later, the amusement park “Sunny Land” opened its doors to visitors on the 10th of September.

“Alpine Coaster” will dominate over the amusement park “Sunnyland, which could be translated as bob on rails. Besides “Alpine Coaster”, visitors will be able to enjoy the restaurant which includes indoor playroom for children.

“The owners of amusement park are investors from Europe and the Middle East, and the value of investment is 15 million BAM,” said Mirza Karic from the company Dubos that is managing business for Sheikh Mohammed.

According to him, prices of services, drinks and food, will not differ, that is, they won’t be any higher than average prices in the city, and the ride on “Alpine Coaster” will cost 7 BAM on weekend days and 5 BAM on work days.

“A total 60 people, with whom contracts were signed, are employed in amusement park at the moment, and cooperation with over 30 vendors was established”, said Karic stating that “Alpine Coaster” was delivered by company from Germany, kitchen for restaurant by companies from Italy and Sweden, and furniture by Bosnian companies…

“Amusement park was designed by architect Kenan Hadzovic, that is, his company Prodig, and contractors were HMI Inzinjering, then Marvel and Krivaja metals from Zavidovici”, says Karic, adding that there were no problems and that they achieved good cooperation with competent ministries in RS as well as with two municipalities of East Sarajevo.

Besides the existing facilities, amusement park will get 1000 square meters of outdoor playroom for children, and they already signed contracts  with company from Austria and company Glouios from Zenica.

Sheik Muhamed bin Saqr al Qasimi is planning to put Olympic mountain Igman on the list of permanent destinations of representations and sport clubs from the world. He bought hotel Feri on Igman, and said: “My intention and wish is to put Igman on map of permanent destinations of representations and sport clubs that would come to Igman for their preparatory trainings”.

Projects are already made for all sport activities in accordance with standards of FIBA, FIFA, etc., but they are still waiting for the support from relevant ministries and institutions.
