During his visit to Tuzla, the Mayor of Banja Luka, Drasko Stanivukovic, met with the Mayor of that city, Jasmin Imamovic, with whom he talked about the economy, culture, and most of all about tourism and cooperation between Banja Luka and Tuzla in that area.
Imamovic pointed out that Tuzla is the most multicultural city in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) and that the citizens of Banja Luka and Tuzla have the same human desires, namely good health, health system, education, protection against corruption, a celebration of a common state, quality of life, as well as the economically sustainable development.
Noting that agreements on joint cooperation have long been established by businessmen, athletes, and artists, Imamovic mentioned that politicians should follow their examples and that they should talk more about what binds them, and not about what separates them.
“Sarajevo, Banja Luka, Mostar, and Tuzla are important cities and they must cooperate, the wishes of our citizens are the same and we are here to justify their trust,” stated Imamovic, inviting the citizens of Banja Luka to visit and spend their summer in Tuzla.
The Mayor of Banja Luka, Drasko Stanivukovic, thanked the Mayor of Tuzla for his hospitality and noted that he had visited the City of Salt earlier as a councilor in the Assembly of Banja Luka, since when he has fond memories of that city.
“It is important that the citizens cooperate, and the connection of different generations and views is also significant,” Stanivukovic said.
He sent a message from Tuzla that the time had come to talk in the language of culture, economy, and tourism.
Stating that Tuzla has an example of a technology park, he thinks that this city can show its experience in Banja Luka, since, as he said, that city is only in the initial phase of that project.
He emphasized that certain companies from the Federation of BiH (FBiH) are developing their activities in the Republika Srpska (RS) and vice versa, which is of great importance, noting that Banja Luka businessmen are interested in investing in Tuzla.
Stanivukovic invited citizens of Tuzla to visit Banja Luka and its tourist potentials – Vrbas, Kastel, and others.
