opcina5Municipality of Stari Grad distributed financial means on the occasion of Eid Al-Adha for 175 families of veteran population.

Attendees were greeted by the Mayor Ibrahim Hadžibajrić. He wished everyone happy holidays and said that 470.000 BAM have been allocated in the past eight years for this purpose.

“This is just one way we can help and pay tribute to those families who lost their loved ones,” Hadžibajrić said.

The distribution of financial means to members of veteran population is a tradition that has been nourished in the Municipality of Stari Grad for years. The event is being held three times in a year (on the occasion of Eid Al-Fitr, Eid Al-Adha and the Day of the Municipality of Stari Grad).

This time, presents in the form of 100 BAM were given to one hundred martyr families, fifty disabled war veterans, and 25 unemployed demobilized soldiers. They thanked the municipality and the Mayor for not forgetting them.
