A state of natural disaster has been declared in the area of Visegrad municipality due to heavy rain that caused great damage, mostly to the roads, confirmed the mayor Mladen Durevic after the meeting of the Crisis Staff.

Durevic explained that the rain caused landslides in some settlements and that the most damage was on the roads, which were partially or completely washed away by the water.

“We have a large number of requests from our fellow citizens to repair the roads. We made a decision to declare a state of natural disaster and today we will ask the Assembly to find funds to repair all the roads that are in bad condition due to heavy rain,” he emphasized.

Durevic stressed the need to rehabilitate the roads and expects that this will be understood by the councilors, and that they will start solving the problem as soon as possible.

Heavy rain fell in the area of Visegrad on Monday, August 8, and yesterday there was a power outage.
