Due to heavy rainfall and the consequences it caused, a state of natural disaster was declared in the area of the Tuzla Canon and the municipalities of Čelić, Sapna, Kalesija and Teočak.

The Federal Administration of Civil Protection states that in the municipality of Kladanj, as a result of sudden rainfall, the water level of the Drinjača and Ujča rivers increased, as well as the overflow of local streams, due to which the construction sites located in and near the Drinjača river bed were damaged.

Road communications were also endangered by landslides, gravel and stone deposits on the roads, and the removal of bulk material from the bumpers, as well as the flooding of agricultural land.

As a result of the heavy and sudden rainfall of the previous days, the water level of the rivers in the Sava basin rose and the streams overflowed.

The heavy rains also affected the rise in the water level of all rivers and streams in the area of Sarajevo Canton.

During yesterday, the teams of the Cantonal Administration of Civil Protection and municipal services in Sarajevo continuously toured the field and undertook the necessary flood protection measures.

A minor overflow of the Bosna River on agricultural land in the area of Dobrošević, in the municipality of Novi Grad, was recorded, but there were no endangered structures.

Along the entire course of the Sava River through the Posavina Canton, the water level rose, but the river did not overflow.

The height of the water level of the river Spreča at the measuring point Karanovac, in Gradačac, is 287 centimeters, while the critical point when regular flood defenses are undertaken is 300 centimeters.

The water level of rivers and all waterways is slightly elevated in the area of the Zenica-Doboj Canton.
