Statistics: Internal Migrations in Bosnia-Herzegovina in 2019

At the level of Bosnia and Herzegovina population number of immigration/emigration is 28.523. Thereof, number of immigrants to: Federation of BiH is 19.734. It indicates a decrease of 1,4 % in comparison to the same period last year; Republika Srpska is 8.134. It indicates an decrease of 6,5 %, in comparison to the same period last year; Brcko District is 655. It indicate an decrease of 1,7 % in comparison to the same period last year.

For the same period , the number of emigrants from; Federation of BiH 19.881. It indicate an decrease of 2,4 % in comparison to the same period last year; Republika Srpska is 8.145. It indicate an decrease of 4,2 % in comparison to the same period last year; Brcko District is 497. It indicate a decrease of 1,4 % in comparison to the same period last year.

Total net migration in Republika Srpska is -11, in Federation of BiH -147 , and in Brcko District is 158.

Majority migrants in Bosnia and Herzegovina were persons between 20-39 years of age (14.145 people) which represent 49,6 % of total migration.

In regard to gender structure, the share of the female population in total migration is 17.081 or 59,9% and male 11.442 or 40,1%, according to the country’s Agency for Statistics.
