Strategy of Managing the Debt of BiH adopted?

13073212_1164834260234195_1003474728_oAt the proposal of the Ministry of Finance and Treasury, the Council of Ministers of BiH adopted for the first time on national level the Medium-term Strategy of Managing the Debt of BiH, making BiH fulfill one of the obligations prescribed in the Action Plan of the Reform Agenda for BiH.

Along with the presentation of the debt structure, the strategy includes the evaluation of the indebtedness situation and defines the midterm objectives of managing the debt and guidelines for achieving those objectives. This strategy encompasses the medium-term strategies of managing the debt of Republika Srpska, the FBiH, the Brčko District, and also the foreign debt of institutions of BiH.

During the next foreign indebting, the Ministry of Finance and Treasury of BiH will apply guidelines defined in the Medium-term Strategy of Managing the Debt of BiH.

In accordance with the Action Plan for the implementation of the Reform Agenda on the level of the Council of Ministers, recommendations were made to the Fiscal Council to adopt the calendar of data exchange needed for the preparation of the Medium-term Strategy of Managing the Debt of BiH as soon as possible, in order to achieve better management of the debt, the Council of Ministers of BiH stated.
