namjestaj-500Tomorrow, nine furniture producers from BiH will exhibit their furniture in exhibit-sales salon in Muelheim near Cologne, the permanent exhibition space of BiH companies now available for German buyers to come and visit, said BIH Chamber of Foreign Commerce.

Furniture of BiH companies: Standard- Prnjavor, ScontoProm- Prijedor, Rattan Sedia- Brčko, Arting Gradnja- Lukavac, FIS Ambyenta- Vitez, Izazov- Kalesija, Economic- Vitez, Nova Di Vrbas- Banja Luka and Nova Forma- Šamac will be exhibited in the salon. Two more companies from BiH might also exhibit their products, and the cooperation for other companies that have high standards of quality and design is open as well.

The opening of this salon is a part of the project of support to BIH furniture exporting companies which is realized by the USAID- Sida FIRMA Project and BiH Chamber of Foreign Commerce.

Before the salon was opened , a sales agency for German market was founded, whose role was taken over by the existing company NEA Trade GmbH from Germany, a furniture selling agency with developed network of contacts and experience in selling BiH furniture.

It is expected that this salon will contribute to the increase of export of BiH furniture to Germany.

Concerning the export of furniture, Germany is the largest market for BiH companies, with the value of 59.9 million EUR of export in 2012, or 34.5% of total furniture exports, and with the increase of 20.3% in comparison to 2011.

Top export products of BiH to Germany are upholstered wooden chairs, living room furniture, bedroom furniture, other wooden furniture, beds and parts of furniture.

Most products exported to Germany are final products, which is indeed a rarity of BIH export, and the increase of furniture export is a good signal that the support to furniture export to Germany and the EU should continue.
