Member of the European Parliament on behalf of the Greens, Tineke Strik, commented on the United States (U.S.) activities and the imposition of sanctions on Milorad Dodik and pointed out that the European Union (EU) must follow this activity.

Commenting on the decision of the U.S. Ministry of Finance, she mentioned that the U.S. had sent a clear message about the activities of Milorad Dodik.

“The U.S. believes that Dodik’s recent actions undermine peace in the Western Balkans and therefore they renewed sanctions and blocked all assets.

Finally, Strik stressed that Europe must follow the U.S. in these actions.

“The EU must not stand aside and should follow this important step immediately,” Strik concluded.
