All capital city airports in the former Yugoslavia will see their capacity levels grow during the first month of the 2025/26 winter season in November, with Wizz Air remaining the region’s largest carrier.
Belgrade Airport has the most available seats on scheduled flights in November, standing at 808.908. The figure represents an increase of 11.5% on 2024. Air Serbia will continue to maintain its position as the largest carrier, holding 47.3% of all available scheduled capacity. Wizz Air will add close to 60.000 seats, growing by 51.1% with a total share of 21.9%. Zagreb follows as the second largest with 436.259 available seats on scheduled flights during the month. It represents an increase of 10.5% on the previous year. Croatia Airlines, which will grow its seat count by 36.000 or 22.8%, will be its largest carrier with 44.5% of total capacity followed by Ryanair with 26.2%. Ryanair will increase capacity by 3.3%.
Pristina Airport will have 368.942 available seats, with capacity growth currently projected at 3%. GP Aviation has the largest volume of seats, holding a 32.9% share. It is followed by easyJet with 16.1% of total capacity. Skopje Airport will boast 331.420 seats in November, up 28.9% on the back of Wizz Air’s expansion. The low cost carrier will grow its seat count by 55.342 or 40% on the same month in 2024. It will hold the largest share at 58.4%. It is followed by Pegasus Airlines with a 9.8% share. Sarajevo will have 183.896 scheduled seats on the market in November, representing an increase of 8.8% on 2024. Ryanair, which is growing its capacity by 20.822 seats or 111.4% year-on-year, is the largest carrier with 21.5% of total capacity, followed by Pegasus Airlines with 15.4%.
Podgorica Airport has 126.252 seats on scheduled flights in November, up 2%. Turkish Airlines is the largest carrier, despite a reduction in operations this winter, with 20.4% of total capacity, ahead of flag carrier Air Montenegro with an 18.7% share. Finally,
Ljubljana has a total of 125.284 seats on scheduled services, up a strong 19.4% on November 2024, with the launch of several new routes. Turkish Airlines will be the airport’s largest, holding 16.2% of all seats. Swiss will replace Lufthansa as the second largest carrier as the latter will offload part of its operations on the Munich – Ljubljana service to Air Dolomiti.
