Students from BiH won Two Medals at the Balkan Mathematics Olympiad

Canton Sarajevo Minister of Education Naida Hota-Muminović and Director of the Institute for the Development of Pre-University Education Senada Salihović welcomed today at the Sarajevo Airport the students who competed in the Balkan Mathematical Olympiad held in Antalya from May 8 to 13.

Ervin Macić and Benjamin Mujkić won two bronze medals in this competition for Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Our country was represented by: Harun Alibegović, Ervin Macić, Asja Ćatić, Ahmed Spahić, Benjamin Mujkić and Abdullah Fehratbegović.

“We congratulate all the students on their excellent success and worthy representation of our country,” said Minister Hota-Muminović.

The team that represented Bosnia and Herzegovina at the Olympics was selected at the selection competition for BMO 2023, organized by the Association of Mathematicians of the Sarajevo Canton and the Republican Pedagogical Institute of the Republika Srpska at the Faculty of Science and Mathematics in Sarajevo and Banja Luka, Klix.ba reports.
