Students say that the Plaque with the Name of Karadzic will not be removed

The Union of Students of the Republika Srpska, the Student Parliament of the University of East Sarajevo and the Parliament of the Student Home Pale said that there is nothing that can make them to remove the plaque with the name of war criminal Radovan Karadzic from the building of the dormitory.

They said they would not allow it no matter who tried it, “even if it was High Representative Valentin Inzko himself.”

”Radovan Karadzic is the first president of the Republika Srpska, a country that is our homeland, which we love with all our hearts, which no one will insult and attack without getting a backlash. The character and work of Radovan Karadzic will always live through all the residents of Republika Srpska, especially through us students, who will always respect and remember him,” they stated in a joint statement.

It is further stated, among other things, that the students told Inzko that they believe that the OHR mission in BiH is over, because obviously all major problems have been solved.

They state that the High Representative in BiH, according to Annex 10 of the General Framework Agreement for Peace in BiH, has the authority to mediate in building peace and democratic processes in BiH, and not the authority to remove boards and change the history of a nation, Avaz writes.
