Success: who are the top B&H Exporters in 2015?

Import Export Data nap.baBosnia and Herzegovina records a decrease in import and increase of export, for which the most credits go to the recovery of the market of the EU and countries of CEFTA.

The encouraging data by the Directorate for Economic Planning of Bosnia and Herzegovina show an evident progress of domestic economy in all fields. Economic analysts assessed that companies, which have adjusted to poor business environment, now produce more and export more. Recovery of the Eurozone as well as the countries of CEFTA, which are the most important foreign trade partners of B&H, also strongly influenced the growth of economy in B&H.

According to the data by the Indirect Taxation Authority of B&H (UIO BiH) on ten largest importers and exporters in 2015, refiners are still in the lead when it comes to import.

The largest importer in B&H is the Optima Group from Banja Luka, followed by Holdina Sarajevo, GIKIL Lukavac, Prevent Visoko, Arcelor Mittal Zenica, Aluminij Mostar, Petrol BH Company Sarajevo, BIMAL Brčko, CIMOS TMD Gradačac, and Footwear Factory Sportek Kotor Varoš.

The largest exporters in 2015 are Arcelor Mittal, Prevent Visoko, Aluminij Mostar, Alumina Zvornik, Sisecam Soda Lukavac, GIKIL Lukavac, BIMAL Brčko, Optima Group Banja Luka, Borac Export-Import Travnik and CIMOS TMD Gradačac.

According to UIO BiH data, in the period from January to November 2015 import amounted to 14.1 billion BAM and was lower by 1.93 percent in comparison with the same period last year. At the same time, export increased by 3.37 percent and amounted to 8.48 billion BAM.
