The fifth Summit 100 Business Leaders of Southeast Europe was officially opened in Sarajevo. After Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia and Montenegro, BiH is a host for such a gathering for the first time, where participate business leaders from the region and the world.
A special guest of this year’s Summit is Kari Kahiluoto, President of the Nordic Council of Ministers, or the body that regulates the mutual economic cooperation of the Nordic countries.
Kahiluoto presented positive practice of economic cooperation between the Nordic countries, which can serve as an example for the countries of the region.
“Two most important facts that are the result of Nordic success are the quality and the free mobility, or mobility and collaboration without boundaries,” stated Kahiluoto.
He talked about the importance of branding in the business and that the region of South East Europe can use it because of their mutual past.
Unique market of 25 million people in Southeast Europe is a real chance for concrete economic moves, and mostly in the field of energy and tourism, which is focus of this year’s Summit.
The organizers of the Summit under the motto “A new deal for a new age” are ASA Group and BBI Bank, and among the participants are business leaders from numerous companies of the world, such as the Atlas Foundation, Deloitte, Boston Consulting Groups, there is also the Serbian Association of Managers, as well as local businessmen.
The aim of the Summit is to agree common goals and action programs for economic cooperation in the region, as well as unique market at the global level.
Director of BBI Amer Bukvic opened the Summit, saying that the aim of the Summit is to generate positive energy in the region.
“Businessmen are catalysts of changes. In previous years, this Summit achieved significant results. It is our obligation to ensure a better future in the region for generations to come,” said Bukvic at the opening of the Summit.
