Vice President of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina Igor Stojanović began his visit to the United States of America with meetings with Congresswoman Dina Titus and Professor Edward Joseph.

At the meeting with Congresswoman Titus, the current political situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina, NATO integration, as well as US support for the civilian sector in BiH were discussed.

Congresswoman Titus expressed her support for Bosnia and Herzegovina, paying special attention to the strengthening of Bosnian and Herzegovina’s institutions. Her dedication and friendship represent an important support for BiH in strengthening democratic principles and stability, said Vice President Stojanović after the meeting.

In a conversation with Professor Edward Joseph, an expert on the Balkans and former advisor to the US Department of Defense, the importance of stabilizing our region for global security was particularly emphasized, which Professor Joseph has spoken about on several occasions in the US Congress.

Stojanović thanked Congresswoman Titus and Professor Joseph for their support, emphasizing that the United States is a long-standing partner of Bosnia and Herzegovina and that such meetings will contribute to further strengthening the friendly and strategic relations between the two countries.

Vice President Stojanović’s visit to the United States in the coming days will include meetings with representatives of United Nations agencies, as well as the non-governmental sector, with the aim of deepening cooperation, political and economic stability, and further integration of Bosnia and Herzegovina into Euro-Atlantic structures, the Office of the Vice President of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina announced.
