Acting pursuant to an Order issued by a Prosecutor from the Special Department for Organized Crime, Economic Crime and Corruption and as part of the operation codenamed ‘Senior’, police officers of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) have deprived one person of liberty in the area of the Brčko District of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as that person is suspected of the commission of the criminal offence of Illicit Trafficking in Narcotic Drugs (Article 195 of the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina).

The aforementioned person is under investigation as he is suspected of international smuggling of narcotic drugs. Moreover, a larger sum of money has been seized during the search, along with other items.

The thus seized half a kilogram of the narcotic drug reaches the price of several dozen thousand BAM on an illegal narcotics market.

The suspect will be handed over to the Prosecutor in charge of the case today, who will question the suspect and subsequently make a decision regarding further activities in this case.
