Suspects in the ‘Panther’ Operation to be handed over to the Cantonal Prosecutor’s Office

Suspects in the “Panther” operation, Samedin Fišić, (1981) from Konjic, Semir Dučić (1986) from Sarajevo, Ivan Majić (1992) from Sinj, a citizen of Croatia, and Jelena Hribar Hadžić (1983) from Tuzla for the criminal offense of unauthorized production and distribution of narcotic drugs as co-perpetrators, were handed over to the jurisdiction of the Cantonal Prosecutor’s Office of Sarajevo Canton.

They will be detained for 24 hours, and within that legal period, after examining them, the acting prosecutor will decide on further measures.

Police officers of the Police Department of the MUP of Sarajevo Canton, under the supervision of the Cantonal Prosecutor’s Office of Sarajevo Canton and in cooperation with the officers of the Intelligence and Security Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Police Department of the MUP of HNK and the Police Department of the MUP of TK, carried out an operational action codenamed “Panther”, with the aim of documenting the criminal offenses of unauthorized production and trafficking of narcotic drugs.

As reported by the Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Sarajevo Canton and the Cantonal Prosecutor’s Office of the Sarajevo Canton, in the area of ​​Konjica, Borci, a plantation with plantations of the narcotic drug cannabis was found, where around 400 stems were confiscated, as well as all logistical equipment.

During the searches of the premises used by the suspects, dozens of different packages were found, with a total weight of about 25 kilograms of substances associated with the narcotic drugs speed, hashish and marijuana, more than 45 kilograms of mass used to increase the total amount of narcotic drugs (the so-called mix mass), two pistols with the corresponding ammunition, about 70,000 KM in cash in EUR, BAM, USD and CHF currency, various equipment intended for the technological process of preparation and distribution of narcotic drugs, and numerous other items required by the Order and of importance for the investigation.

Also, the Mercedes G motor vehicle was confiscated.

The arrested Samedin Fišić is also charged with the criminal offense of Illegal Possession of Weapons or Explosive Materials.
