Tegeltija speaks about Economic Situation in Bosnia with World Bank Representative

Chairman of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina Zoran Tegeltija talked today via video link with World Bank representatives about the Partnership Framework with BiH for the period from 2022 to 2026, the current economic situation in the country caused by the pandemic, and further activities in the light of future cooperation with that financial institution.

On this occasion, Chairman Tegeltija informed the representatives of the World Bank about the main activities of the Council of Ministers in the coming period.

Also, the possibilities of using new financial instruments, support to the health sector affected by the pandemic, as well as possible support in the implementation of infrastructure projects were discussed.

The interlocutors jointly agreed that the three main programs of the World Bank in BiH for the period from 2022 to 2026 will be related to the reform of health sector, the reform of state-owned enterprises, and the green transition program, which includes a special air quality program.

Special attention will be paid to enabling the use of the potential of the private sector for rapid growth and job creation, investment in human capital, and environmental management for sustainable growth.

During the meeting, it was pointed out that the current cooperation between the Council of Ministers and the World Bank has been good, and expressed readiness to continue cooperation in the future, the Council of Ministers of BiH stated in the press release.
