Tensions between the Football Association of BiH and BH Fanaticos

Tensions between the Football Association of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) and BH Fanaticos are not subsiding, all following the news two days ago that the governing body of BiH football refused to issue a contingent of tickets for the qualifying match against Romania.

Yesterday, the president of the Football Association of BiH, Vico Zeljkovic, said that BH Fanaticos received 868 tickets and that the news from two days earlier was false.

“Regarding the information that has appeared in public about fan tickets for the upcoming match against Romania, I would like to clarify several facts.

The Association has not prohibited anyone from buying tickets. The group ‘BH Fanaticos’ has already purchased 868 tickets online for the stand where they traditionally cheer, and it is not true that they were denied access to the tickets.

Over the past two days and yesterday, the issue concerning the groups’ ‘Ljuti Krajisnici’ and ‘Ljuti Krajisnici 2013’ was also resolved, as they too successfully purchased their tickets.

The interest was exceptionally high – thousands of requests were received, which significantly exceeded the stadium’s capacity and objectively complicated the ticket distribution process,” said Zeljkovic, among other things.

However, from the most passionate fan group – the popular BH Fanaticos – a refutation followed, and their statement is transmitted in full:

“Refutation of the statement by the compliant nephew.

For years, we have been buying tickets according to the same principle – the number of GROUP ordered tickets is confirmed by the responsible person, and that number is then multiplied by the ticket price.

In the latest case, BHF officially requested 600 tickets, for which a rejection was received. Why should this match be any different from any other? How did the mentioned ‘gentleman’ come up with the number of 868 tickets, and according to which parameters? Did they go into the database and check people’s names individually?

How can anyone know whether the people who buy a certain number of tickets ONLINE are members of our group? Why were other groups initially rejected if we are supposedly exceeding capacity, when they don’t even share the same stand – the northern one?

People certainly have EVERY RIGHT to buy a ticket privately, for their friends, family, or anyone – they will not decide that, and that number can be far from what we requested, and even farther from the one mentioned by the nephew.

Since every ticket is numbered and backed by a name and surname, why was the official request rejected? Surely, on an additional list, the same names would have appeared twice?!

In the end, it is not your job to count, but to RESIGN, because it is BECAUSE OF YOU that all possible financial penalties have arisen!” stated BH Fanaticos.
