Terzic: Construction of Fast Road from Lasva to Travnik will cost 183 million EUR

motorway5The route of the fast road Lasva Nevic Polje is part of the new expanded European network of fast roads, the so-called route 2A Lasva Travnik Jajce Banja Luka and it is very significant since it will connect the central part of BiH with the highway on Corridor 5-C, this will significantly improve the conditions of the traffic along the direction of Sarajevo, Banja Luka, said Director of the PC Highways of FBiH, Adnan Terzic.

It is very important, he said, that this route increases the level of traffic communication of Krajina.

On how many lots will be divided construction of the first part of the fast road, he said, will depend on the financial resources. As envisaged by the Plan for construction, added Terzic, the tender will follow very soon. With the main project is planned to start construction on Lasva loop of Corridor 5 and ends on the loop Nevic-Polje near Travnik.

“Study of expropriation was made, the experts analyzed all parcels and objects that need to be removed from the route, and it is about 124 facility. Also, in December last year, PC Highways of FBiH announced the purchase of the preliminary design and study documentation for continuation of fast road Travnik (loop Nevic Polje) – Jajce (loop Bravnice temporary circuit on M-5), which includes the conceptual design, traffic study based on preliminary design, environmental impact studies, studies on obtaining prior water approval and feasibility studies of fast road,” said Terzic.

Section Lasva -Nevic Polje is 25 kilometers long and it is a fast road with two separate traffic line, each with two traffic lanes that are three and a half meters wide. The main structure of the construction of three tunnels and 18 bridges and viaducts. In this part are planned four loops (Lasva, Kaonik, Vitez and Nevic Polje).

“The construction of the fast road Lasva-Nevic Polje should cost 183 million EUR, and in consultation with the Government of FBiH, we will arrange different sources of funding,” said Terzic.
