The average monthly net salary paid per employee in Bosnia and Herzegovina in March of this year was 1,260 BAM, which is a nominal increase of four percent, and in real terms it is higher by 3.6 percent compared to February of this year.
In March of this year, the average monthly net salary paid compared to March last year was nominally higher by 15.4 percent, and for that period the real index was 4.6 percent, according to the data of the BiH Statistics Agency.
The highest average net wages in March this year were BAM 1,827 for employees in the information and communication sector, BAM 1,811 for the production and supply of electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning, and BAM 1,772 for the financial and insurance sector.
The lowest average net earnings were recorded in the activity of providing accommodation and preparing and serving food, 814 BAM, in construction, 918 BAM, and in wholesale and retail trade, and repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles, 975 BAM.
The average monthly gross salary in BiH in March this year was 1,942 BAM, which is a nominal growth of 4.3 percent, and in real terms it is higher by 3.8 percent compared to February this year, while compared to March 2022 nominally higher by 16 percent. For the same period, the real index was 5.2 percent.
