12721630_1739336639636346_662190748_nDemolition of the former building of the company Feroelektro in the center of Sarajevo, where in a few months should be a new luxury hotel, started in late January.

The idea of building the hotel on the place of the former residential and commercial building, which was burned down to the ground in 1993 during the war in BiH and the siege of Sarajevo, will be carried out by Turkish businessman Fatih Kol, who lives in Sarajevo since 2006, and who founded his own company here.

According to Kol, documents according to which he owns 35 % and municipality 65 % of this business, were solved with the Municipality of Stari Grad.

It took almost a month to demolish the building to the ground, and construction of new facility will start in March or April. It will have identical external appearance as Feroelektro building before 1993, when it was burned down in the shelling.

Demolition of the devastated building cost around 90,000 BAM, and the company Drinjakovic Ltd was engaged on these activities.
