Announcements from the stage in front of the National Assembly of Serbia in downtown Belgrade and a performance by the band “Garavi sokak” officially began the central part of the three-day political rally “We Will Not Give Up Serbia”, to which Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić also invited.

At the same time, trumpeters performed on the stage at Nikola Pašič Square, reports the Beta agency.

It was also announced from the central stage near the parliament building that citizens will be able to propose the name of a new movement initiated by the President of Serbia at more than 500 locations, and also to ask him written questions.

The three-day rally “We Will Not Give Up Serbia”, which will promote the “Movement for the People and the State”, which has been announced for years, began yesterday with a flag parade, and the main part is scheduled for 7 p.m., when Vučić will give a speech.

In front of the Serbian Parliament and along Bulevar Kralja Aleksandra, to the intersection with Beogradska Street, stands and tents of local tourist organizations have been set up in three rows, and citizens are slowly gathering.

There is a wire fence around the entire area, there are also numerous guards in red vests, and at around 2 p.m. a group of citizens from Novi Sad arrived who, as they said, left by train, and a group from Niš also arrived.

Chairs have been set up at several locations, including in front of the stage at the parliament building, barbecues are being prepared at several stands, while drinking water is available in several tanker trucks.

Traffic is flowing through the Terazija Tunnel, on one side, and Beogradska Street on the other, while it is suspended in the area in between, as well as in the cross streets along Bulevar kralja Aleksandra.
