The Council of Ministers of BiH meets, with the Reform Agenda first to discuss

The Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina is scheduled to hold a session today, the agenda of which includes information on activities following the conclusion from June regarding activities to harmonize the Reform Agenda of BiH.

At the end of June, the Council of Ministers of BiH adopted the Draft List of Reforms and the Draft Reform Agenda, together with all comments received from the members of the Working Team, at its 56th extraordinary telephone session, and tasked the competent ministries in the Council of Ministers of BiH to, together with all competent ministries at other levels, continue activities to harmonize comments with the aim of finalizing the text of the Reform Agenda, in accordance with constitutional competences.

At the extraordinary telephone session on September 11, the Council of Ministers of BiH did not have a quorum for work and decision-making on the agenda on which the Information on activities following the conclusion of the Council of Ministers from the 56th extraordinary telephone session, which relates to harmonization of the text of the Reform Agenda and the List of Reforms, was proposed. There were eight votes in favor of the proposed item, while two members of the Council of Ministers of BiH (ministers from RS) did not vote.

Also on the agenda is the proposal of the Ministry of Security for the appointment of the Deputy Director of the Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA).

It is also planned to consider the reports on the work of ministries and institutions of the Council of Ministers for 2024, which were removed from the agenda of the session held last week.

Among other things, the ministers should also express their views on the proposal for a decision to amend the Decision on salary supplements in the Border Police of BiH, proposed by the Ministry of Security of BiH.

One of the proposed items is the conclusion of the Presidency of BiH adopted on September 10 with two votes in favor and one against, and refers to the Proposal for the Law on the Budget of BiH for 2025.

The session is scheduled to begin at 11:00 a.m.
